The Democrats are scheduled to have their next debate tonight. It will, in all likelihood, be a bit livelier just given the latest installment of Impeachment Theatre. (Not to mention Pete Buttigieg’s emergence as a a frontrunner in recent polls and all sorts of rumors and news abounding re: Hunter Biden today. I’ll leave those for others to recount.)

It appears that Joe Biden and/or his campaign are so eager for tonight’s debate that they prematurely sent out a fundraising e-mail intended to be sent out post-debate. Per The Hill:

Former Vice President Joe Biden asked supporters if he made them “proud” with his Wednesday night debate performance — about six hours before the debate.

“I’m leaving the fifth Democratic debate now. I hope I made you proud out there and I hope I made it clear to the world why our campaign is so important,” Biden said in a campaign email asking for donations.

The email was sent out a little after 3 p.m. The debate is set to start at 9 p.m.

In fairness, I highly doubt Biden himself hit “Send” on that one. But chalk this one up as another Biden-tastic gaffe.

“I hope I made you proud….” Ya did, Joe. Good job!
